Hi, I’m Liam E — a cyclist, gear obsessive, and the person behind every review on this site.
I started Triumph Bike Reviews because I was tired of reading reviews written by people who’d clearly never touched the bike. Too many affiliate sites regurgitate spec sheets and call it a review. I wanted something different: honest, hands-on takes from someone who actually rides.
I’ve been riding for over a decade — road, gravel, mountain, and commuter bikes. I’ve wrenched on my own bikes, replaced groupsets, built wheels, and made plenty of expensive mistakes along the way. Those mistakes taught me what actually matters when you’re evaluating a bike, and what’s just marketing noise.
Every review on this site goes through the same process:
I’m one person, so I can’t ride every bike I review. When I haven’t ridden a specific model, I say so — and I lean harder on spec analysis and owner data. When I have ridden it, you’ll know.
The bulk of the site is individual bike reviews — mostly in the $300–$2,000 range where most people are actually shopping. I also publish best-of roundups for common buyer queries (best hardtail under $1,000, best hybrid under $500, etc.) and occasional gear reviews for helmets, lights, and cycling accessories.
I’m particularly focused on e-bikes right now — it’s where the market is growing fastest and where bad information causes the most expensive mistakes.
Some links on this site are affiliate links, primarily through Amazon Associates and a few direct retailer programs. If you click a link and make a purchase, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how the site pays for itself.
Affiliate relationships don’t influence my recommendations. I’ve given negative reviews to products with high commissions and positive reviews to products where I earn nothing. My goal is to help you make the right call — that’s the only reason anyone comes back to a review site.
